Since the beginning of the year, UAH 1.2 million has been transferred to the families of Ukrainians which are deprived of their liberty

In January - March 2021, the budget funds worth UAH 1.2 million for the legal assistance have been transferred to the families of 12 Ukrainians which are deprived of their liberty in the temporarily occupied territories. "The order is already being drafted on the corresponding payments to another 15 citizens," said Ihor Yaremenko, the Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the TOT.

Furthermore, according to him, during the 1st quarter of 2021, the Interdepartmental Commission for consideration of issues related to the recognition of persons deprived of liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine and the implementation of measures aimed at their social protection, 23 citizens were recognized as deprived of their liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, and they are to be paid a total amount of UAH 2.3 million, that is UAH 100 000 each.

He recalled that 77 Ukrainian citizens received such assistance in 2018, 2019 - 103 Ukrainian citizens, as well as in 2020 - 116 Ukrainian citizens.

Moreover, during the 1st quarter, payments of state scholarships named after Levko Lukyanenko to 4 persons still continue. In addition, the Government has adopted a decision to recommend to the President of Ukraine to sign a Decree on the allocation of state scholarships to 13 more persons.
