Iryna Vereshchuk: As of April 16, almost 1,500 Ukrainians were evacuated

Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, summed up the current work of humanitarian corridors.

Thus, 1,449 civilians were evacuated from dangerous areas on Friday, she said.

In particular, 1,381 people traveled from Mariupol and Berdyansk by their own transport to Zaporizhzhia. 

Among them:

▪️170 people - from Mariupol;

▪️1 211 people - residents of cities of Zaporizhzhia region (Pology, Vasylivka, Berdyansk and Melitopol).

Despite constant shelling, 68 people were evacuated from the cities of Severodonetsk, Rubizhne and Kreminna in the Luhansk region.

At the same time, Iryna Vereshchuk said that the evacuation of civilians in Lysychansk was completely disrupted due to heavy and massive shelling.
