The Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said that today, on April 17, humanitarian corridors will not work because there is no agreement with the occupiers on a ceasefire.

"As of this morning, April 17, we have not been able to agree with the occupiers on a ceasefire on the evacuation routes. That is why, unfortunately, we are not opening humanitarian corridors today. We are making every effort to re-establish the humanitarian corridors as soon as possible" - said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Iryna Vereshchuk also stressed that Ukraine has repeatedly demanded that the occupiers, through relevant international structures, to open a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of people from Mariupol, as well as open a special corridor for the evacuation of wounded soldiers.
