The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov stated the aforementioned within a working visit to Mykolaiv oblast.
Within the framework of the visit, a working meeting was held on the project of construction of housing for the Crimean Tatars, internally displaced persons and other categories of citizens entitled to benefits. The Deputy Minister for Reintegration of TOT Viacheslav Shapovalov, Head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitalii Kim, Head of the Regional Council Hanna Zamazieieva, and Mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych attended the meeting.
Construction is planned in Northern microraion in Mykolaiv city. The Deputy Prime Minister also assessed the site for construction. Construction of the related infrastructure is planned in addition to housing.
The launch of construction is planned by the end of this year.
"You are aware that on April 10th, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held the meeting. In the framework of this visit, with the participation of both presidents, the Parties signed a Framework Agreement on cooperation in the construction of housing for representatives of the Crimean Tatar people and citizens of Ukraine entitled to benefits. The Minister of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey Murat Kurum and me, from the Ukrainian side, signed the agreement. Therefore, our Turkish partners, understanding the situation in the country will assist in the provision of housing to the Crimean Tatars from among the IDPs," said Reznikov.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister met with the IDPs, informing them on the possibility of improving housing conditions. In particular, he elaborated on the program 70/30 and the project of preferential mortgage lending at the expense of the Credit Institute for Reconstruction (KfW).
Let us recall that on March 16th, 2021 Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories, and Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, discussed the project of housing construction for Crimean Tatars who were forced to leave their homes due to the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city by the Russian Federation.
In particular, that is the construction of 500 apartments for Crimean Tatars who are registered as internally displaced persons: 200 in Kherson oblast, 200 in Mykolaiv oblast and 100 in Kyiv oblast.
Less than a month ago, on April 10th, Oleksii Reznikov, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories and the Minister of Environment and Urban Planning of Turkey Murat Kurum signed a Framework Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.
